10th December 2017 : An article on “The Impact of Photography on Impressionism; the Impact of Impressionism on Photography” illustrated by some of the photos from the MallerstangMagic site has just been published in issue 150 of the online photography magazine On Landscape. It was inspired by reading the book “Mad Enchantment” by Ross King which is about the history of Claude Monet and the painting of the Nymphs or water lily pictures. This revealed that the first Impressionist exhibition was held in Paris at the galleries of the photographer Nadar (and previously Gustave le Gray).
