Les Rives de la Sarine

At the origin of this book was the article in On Landscape with the title “Boring Postcards” which raised the question of how boring did a landscape image have to be before it came interesting. The article was illustrated with a number of pictures taken on the banks of the Sarine River near Hauterive in Switzerland. The Sarine is now dammed at Rossens to form the large Lac de Gruyère but below the dam is a meandering gorge with cliffs in the Molasse bedrock. The book represents a series of images taken at different locations and different seasons and is a Blurb published on demand book. All the images may be previewed for free on the Blurb site here. It is also available as a pdf download.
